If you live in an area that stays warm year round, throwing an outdoor Halloween party can be a great idea. By moving the party outdoors, you take advantage of the outdoor elements while ensuring any mess stays outside. Turn on the heaters and light the fire pit to keep guests warm in the evening. If you have colored pool lights, set them to hues of red, orange, purple or green for a spooky effect. There are also colored dyes that you can add to the water, that filter out after a few days, but they aren’t recommended for swimming. Be sure to decorate the yard with pumpkins, Jack-O-Lanterns and scarecrows for a festive feel. Play spooky music and have guests dress up in their favorite costumes. Halloween themed food and deserts along with the traditional bowl of candy complete the event.
